Silverwood Wildlife Rehab
Silverwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a temporary home for many sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. We assist a wide assortment of wildlife species from tiny four legged to the largest of raptors and everything in between. Our utmost goal is to work as team here to help in every way possible to release healthy and wild animals back to their home territory in South eastern Saskatchewan. Our equal goal is to also help our community of towns and farms cohabitate with the local wildlife and easing conflicts if they happen by offering education and support. We also have an education program and table for events and schools. Reach out if your group or school are interested in having us come for a visit.
Work at the rehab centre never stops but spring always brings a huge number of babies that have been unfortunately orphaned due to human misunderstanding or accident along with natural predation of the parents. We rely on our local communities here for volunteers and youth workers that fill specific grant criteria, both make a huge impact on our volume and ability to do our job well for our wildife.
We are not funded by the government so we completely rely on public generosity aka donations and our variety of fundraisers including silent and online auctions.
The beautiful pictures on this site are courtesy of the talented Doug Lauvstad along with some of the wildlife that found their way here. If you would like to donate money please click on the contribute link below and send an email for instructions. Thank you
